Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, was raised in Wellington) is the name of a Canadian actress. Paquin is a native of Winnipeg was raised in Wellington and first made her acting debut as Flora McGrath when she played the character in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 for Best supporting Actress. Anna Paquin's full name is Anna Helene Paquin. Born on July 24, 1982, at Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, she was an Canadian birthed New Zealand actress. As an infant, she won her the Academy Award for best support actress. The role she played as the talkative and inquisitive character Holly Hunter played in The Piano (1993) brought her the award. Paquin portrayed Frankie Addams as a child in the 1996 television version of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin was also in the role of the queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's 1997 feature film Amistad. She played teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) and A Walk on the Moon (1999) and played the character of a groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on the screen in Almost Famous (2000).
